A
roll of 400 Ektachrome taken with a borrowed camera at Taronga Park Zoo
almost 30 years ago first sparked Dallas’s excitement with photography.
What he captured on film here fired an enthusiasm over which he had no
control. Dallas became addicted to the art of photography. He continued to
borrow cameras (mostly his mother's
Pentax K1000)
until he purchased his first camera 12 months later. The subjects were
varied and it would seem that he never settled into any specific genre.
He married and during the past 27 years Marilyn and their three children
became beloved additions to his subject list. Children being natural
models led him to investigate family, portraits, and people as subjects.
He could see a need for more original work displaying natural body language
so he entered the commercial world of photography.
Weddings and Portrait's
fuelled his momentum and moved
him towards starting his own business Be Seen Photographics, located in Logan City and
operating Australia wide.

Dallas is an artist with a camera who prefers to capture the real world on film and likes to
encourage creative thought on his emotive topics. His home walls boast of a
history of photography never viewed by anyone but family and friends.

He has been published in sport magazines and won awards for landscape
photography, and supplies Image film libraries with photographs covering all
subjects.
I welcome any local, national and international
